BRUNEL THROUGH THE LENS
Members of the Avon Industrial Buildings Trust and the North West Bristol Camera Club will provide insights into the work, life and times of Brunel together with hints and advice on taking photos of buildings and structures, focussing on the historic legacy of buildings we have in Bristol.
February 23rd starting at 7.00pm.
At the Education Centre, Bristol Zoo Gardens, Guthrie Road, Clifton Bristol BS8 3HA.
No charge. Venue accessible to wheelchair users.
BRUNEL HISTORY/PHOTOGRAPHY WALK
Join members of the Avon Industrial Buildings Trust and the North West Bristol Camera Club as we walk around the Cumberland Basin, examine the legacy of Brunel and his times and explore opportunities for capturing images which reflect the history of the area. Bring your camera.
March 5th starting at 10.30am.
Meet at the underpass car park, Brunel Lock Road, Cumberland Basin.
We are looking for imaginative and original images which reflect the life, work, times and achievements of Brunel. If colour, black and white, slides or digital images are your thing then we would like to hear from you. Prizes to win plus we will exhibit winning images on our web site and in an exhibition to be held at the Council House, Bristol in May.
Closing date 21st April.
